we headed toward lincoln memorial with everyone else to see the concert:

i know you probably saw the whole thing on tv, alone or with a few friends, and could actually see close-ups of the performers, and blah, blah…but we got to watch it on giant tvs, very far from the stage, with thousands of people, many of whom were much taller than me, so i will show you some of what we saw:

garth brooks got waaaay too much face-time. and sang songs that didn’t make a whole lot of sense. everyone around us jumped and waved their hands during “shout”. it was odd.
