the homespun and the white unidentifiable yarn are from a freecycle participant (cost = 0.00), and the giant spools of cotton yarn are from the fantastic red, white and blue thrift store (cost = 17.80)

the two biggest spools of yarn seem to be worsted weight. the two smaller spools seem to be sport weight. they are all marked as 100% cotton and together weigh 5lbs. 8oz. that’s quite a bit of yarn:

Yarn and its assorted goodness is starting to turn up like crazy. I saw some Noro at the SA last week, but didn’t like the colorway. I bet it made someone else terribly happy, tho.

yeah, i am seeing more and more yarn, though it is usually crummy acrylic. i have never seen anything as good as noro though, yikes - that would be quite a find.
