a few weeks ago i woke up to a fabulous surprise in my email. sarah, crochet-pusher extraordinaire, emailed to let me know that i was a winner in her blog anniversary contest. “squee!” said i.

when i was finally able to pick up my package, to my surprise, not only had i won the syrup and a pattern to make the super-cute percival top-down mittens, i had also won the actual mittens!

so, what’s a girl do do with such fortune?

whip up some french toast, pour on the delicious tree-juice,

slap on my mittens and dig in, of course!

(seriously, you should definitely take a class with her if you can. she is fab! and she taught me how to do this!)
