when we were in MA on wednesday for our house inspection, we found a little treasure just a few miles from our future house, a community garden:

tom checked out the rules:

and the best part (for me and the pups, at least) is that there is a 5K dog walk through the woods just a few steps away. that sounds like the makings of some fun weekend mornings!
oh…and does anyone know what kind of tree/bush this might be?

there is a giant one in our future front yard. the berries are so cute!
so, if you were planning to contribute to the move-to-MA-fund by buying our house, you are (i am happy to say) too late!
it has been a whirlwind week, allow me to recap:
last friday - we sold this house:

to the first people who walked through it
tuesday - we made an offer on this house:

wednesday - they accepted our offer, and that same night i got a call offering me a job interview
today - tom got a call offering him a job interview
things went from moving super slow to super fast with this whole process! both of our job interviews are scheduled for wednesday, so we are also having the new house inspected that day. it is going to be a long, exhausting, but hopefully productive, day.
a day that crazy might just have to end with a tired girl getting a well-deserved trip to webs.
with webs just minutes away and this yard:

how could we not want to live in this house?
grendel is usually content with sleeping at the foot of the bed and never fights for position at the head (unlike another bed-hogging girly dog in the house). this morning, however, was different. i exited bed, took a shower, and returned to the bedroom to find this:

we’re doomed now that he has a taste for pillows.
