look what santa brought me!

what did you find under the tree?
i remember this furniture having legs when we bought it:
so far we’ve gotten about 6 inches today. and that is landing on top of the foot of snow that didn’t really go away from Thursday’s storm.
it will be pretty, and fun, and not hard to get out and about (the town’s been great about clearing the roads), as long as we don’t get the rain and ice they are predicting.
…gotta knit and knit and knit…
(i know i missed a flashback friday this week, and next friday i will probably be nowhere near a computer for most of the day. so hows about we just say that flashback friday will resume after christmas?)
we’re getting a true snow storm today. look how fast and big the flakes are coming down:
usually the weather predictions are blown way out of proportion, but the declaration that we are going to get “an inch per hour” is so far holding true. and it is supposed to keep snowing for another 4-6 hours.
i wanted to stay outside and play, but the pups wanted to go inside. now.
edited to add: it actually has snowed more than one inch per hour so far.
there’s another ice/snow storm heading our way, so tom thought it might be a good idea to give me my christmas present early:
i slip and slide all over the place, especially in town where people and shops aren’t very consistent with the snow removal. so these yaktrax will stretch to go over all of my shoes:
even my winter boots, which have some traction built-in, aren’t quite sticky enough, so on go the yaktrax:
and then when i am indoors, they fold up small enough to fit in my pocket or bag:
tom decided that he would feel awful if i slipped during this next storm while he was hiding this gift in the house, so merry christmas to me!
and let it snow.
ok, ok. between the comments on the last post, the emails and the phone calls, i now understand that it is acceptable to:
take a break from blogging.
however it is not acceptable to:
take a a week off from blogging.
lesson learned.
so, i’m coming back with a flashback friday!
since today feels like the coldest day of the year, if not the coldest day ever, why not think warm thoughts:
ahhhh…the jersey shore. there is just nothing like it.
