as i mentioned earlier, this past weekend was a big one. lots of activity, most of it happening late at night. i’m still paying for it today in sleepy, but totally fun.

here’s why my wallet is missing $2:

the band is the demographic. the guy at the mic is our friend tom. the drummer is his friend, sturgis. the show was the happy valley showdown at the elevens. (does the elevens seriously not have a website?) (also: ugh, i had forgotten which band won third place. blech. they must have slipped some extra ballots into the box! or did they have a bassist?)

the venue: i would have been all over the elevens when i was in high school and college. it’s a great space, the sound is good (i would say possibly better than at pearl street sometimes), and you aren’t taking your life into your own hands like you had to, back in the day, to get to city gardens. (omg - i just found a randy now website. fascinating.)

and now - to sleep.
